Ok then, its been a long wait. but i have finely started on it.
tons of things been going on the last couple of months getting ready for this
ordered a butt load of parts real cheap from rock auto. all name brands, but you could tell some of them have been sitting for decades.
crazy how cheap some of the things are. ( front wheel seals,,,.84 cents each) i bought 10 of them LOL
so a bunch of time was spent looking for leaf spring bushings. now this shouldnt be any big deal,,, but because i have done off the wall things to my springs, nothing was going to fit.
took them to a spring shop in sac. and what he found to work came from real old shit.
front eye fits a Studabaker, and rear eyes are Desoto.
so now they are the oldest model parts in the car.
now im waiting for the upper shackle bushings. the stock in urethane.
rear end got all new seals, bearings, complete brakes.
i got it stuffed under the other day. under coating looks good.
i knew i had rust on the firewall from a bad clutch master. inside and out.
didnt know how bad till i got the carpets out. heavy rust on drivers floor. would have lost it in ten years, so it was a good save.
bead blasted the pedals and mount
cleaned and painted
again, a real good save.
it was a lot worse then the pics show
i cut and welded the rad mount on the pass side to fit the wider 80-83 rad that ive been using for years, was mounted like crap. now it looks right!!
i have been fighting the paint in the engine bay. but i will get that worked out in time
so this is where you all are going to think im crazy., but it makes sense to me.
so the wiring is getting altered, (and so am i)
mixing stock parts of the harness with a 98 Acura fuse and relay boxes
been going through tons of diagrams, and for me it shouldnt be to hard.
it looks a lot worse then it is
so this is the 4 harnesses, 3 are toy the other is acura. some of each will be removed.
so its raining today. so i thought i should get some of this updated and posted.
lots more to come, so check back and see what silly crap i do
remember, im doing this on next to no budget.
but thats how a calif. hillbillys do it
on a hill, in the dirt with no $$$
see ya
